As time passes by, lots of people don’t know the real stories behind them. They don’t know how to look back where they truly began. They don’t know how to love their own culture, traditions, fashions, and even their own dialect. They don’t know how to use it.
Here in our province, we tend to use English or Tagalog instead of our own dialect which is the Iloco. Many ilocanos are denying their oewn belongings. They adopt the belongings of others. They are more likely to love the belongings of others instead of their own. Are you thinking this is right? Of course, it is not. We must be satisfied with what God had given to us. Not for adopting what he had given to others. Many Ilocanos are denying the fact that they are Ilocanos so they are more likely to use the dialect of others.
Keep in touch of what we have. Love our own. And we must use our mother tongue frequently.
